We spoke with the Director of CalTrout’s South Coast Region, Sandi Jacobson about the restoration of essential habitat for the recovery of the southern California steelhead and some of the challenges steelhead have while trying to return to their spawning grounds. It was amazing to hear about how small steps can potentially lead to the return of steelhead to the South Coast. Sandi also talks about her passion for angling and we even dig into some stories of Baja trout and their lineage with their northern cousins.
